OUR COMMUNITY
Today the Nullawil community prides itself on iits various established attributes such as the Nullawil Primary School and playgroup, two churches, historical site, grain sites and other agricultural services.
Sports
Although small, the district of Nullawil has been very successful in the sporting field. In fact, Nullawil has its own tennis club and a Football/Netball Club which is affiliated with the Golden Rivers Football League. Sporting the colours maroon and white, the players are known as “The Nullawil Maroons” with the theme song, “Good Old Nullawil Forever.”
Events
Several annual events take place within the town. The “Five-a-Side” Cricket Tournament is held on the second weekend of February. This provides a great day out not only for cricket enthusiasts, but for families or simply those up for a bit of outdoor fun with light hearted commentary and musical entertainment. The Nullawil Football/Netball Club host various events on Saturday nights, after the sports held during the day, throughout the football season. O’Brien Park hosts an Australia Day Breakfast, an Anzac Day service and Christmas Eve with Santa each year.
